Amy’s story…

Amy grew up in Maryland and began her professional career as a public health educator, developing school-based curricula to promote healthy habits in children. She went on to build her clinical expertise as a pediatric nurse at New York University Hospital, where she spent 12 rewarding years caring for children of all ages with both acute and chronic health needs. These experiences—blending disease prevention with hands-on clinical care—sparked her desire to pursue a primary care role, allowing her to guide children and families along healthy paths of growth and development.

In 2016, Amy and her young family had the opportunity to move to Denmark for her husband’s work. Amy, her husband, and their three sons spent eight years immersed in the Scandinavian winter wonderland, exploring new cultures and places. During this time, Amy learned the Danish language and earned her advanced degree to become a nurse practitioner.

After returning to North Carolina in 2024, Amy joined Living Water Pediatrics as a registered nurse while completing her nurse practitioner training. She now serves as a nurse practitioner and is thrilled to be part of the exceptional pediatric provider team at Living Water Pediatrics, where she values building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and families in the community.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and their three sons, William, Finn, and Rowan. You can often find her on the sidelines of a soccer field or visiting her oldest son at college in Wisconsin. She continues to nurture her love of global travel and staying connected with friends and family near and far, happily embracing the warmer weather and sunshine back in the South.
